Yesterday I received an email from an old friend. It's been years and years since our last connect. My reply was less than kind.

Throughout the day I reflected on friendship and remembered that song I learned in Brownies (!): Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

I fit in the 'tarnished copper' category yesterday, but my old friend decided to keep me anyway : )
