Decisions

I’m asked to give my opinion, but in the end
it doesn’t matter. So where do I want to live?
My first choice would be and is back home,
in the States... probably anwhere in the
contiguous 48 even the ones I said I’d never
live in again. But my non-choice is really
between Romania and France. We’ve been
in Romania for 3 years now, and I’ve
become more or less accustomed to it. And,
if the job here pans out, we’d go to a smaller
town which might be fun... it would mean really
learning Romanian but that’s not a bad thing!
Moving back to France has challenges of its own.
We have a house that needs a ton of work and
funds for it to be what it should be, but there’s a
strong possibility we’d be sent to a town
somewhere else, probably Paris.

I really hate big cities. Maybe I’m glad the
decision isn’t really mine to make...
