Think on These Things
for a challenge at SBG:
My advice to myself these days has been to apply the counsel of Paul in Philippians (chapter 4, verse 8). As different translations can bring out different nuances from the Greek I looked up the verse in several versions.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. (NASB)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (ESV)
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (NLT)
I had all my layers labeled with the kits for easy compilation of this list. Sadly the file corrupted, shut down PS and won't open again. Happily that happened after I'd made my for web pic!
